I have this book in my personal library. The author is known to me as we grew up in the same small town. My family were not regular church attenders and when we did, it was not the same one. The legalism he speaks of did control this small town for many years and consumed many people. There is freedom in Christ and Christ alone. This book is excellent reading and I do recommend it.

This book provides great insight into finding a true and loving relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Randy Meulman describes in gut wrenching detail his struggles in life including divorce, potential suicide, walking away from God and numerous other events in his life. I would highly recommend this book as a read. I would rank this 7 for 7 on the rating scale.

A dry season. probably caused by my cynicism and anger over what I perceived to be negligence in my son's close brush with death, brought me to begging God for forgiveness and a cleansing of my heart. This, just this afternoon. My youngest son emailed me about Lulu publishing after my wailing out to God. I went to Lulu, saw the Quest for Glory and downloaded it. I believe the dry season is over as a result of my reading this book and as I look at my mistakes, sin for sure, with hope God will help me forgive away the blame and my being so judgmental.

I wanted to congratulate you and to thank you for your work, your courage and your willingness to share it. I am asking your permission to forward this to select people within [my] Episcopal Diocese.

Thank you for the link to your book, and for humbly sharing your experiences and the things that you have learned. You have a fascinating and powerful testimony, and I pray that your book will be used to help open the eyes of those who are ensnared in legalism and those who are fighting spiritual battles!

I read your book today. A great book that shows that the Holy Spirit knows God's will for us. When we do something truly for the Glory of God, we have a total sense of peace and delight.

I couldn't stop reading. It's raw, direct, straight to the point, full of personal true to life examples, felt many times I was the author and you talk as I think and do most times . . . no fluff and tip toeing around the tulips of life as a Christian.

I love your candid presentation of facts in the book.I have been in Ministry for over two decades, and I can say I am not sure I have read anything like your book.

Dear Randy, thank you for sending me your wonderful book. It is a blessing in my life and I am sure that it is a blessing to the body of Christ. I am built up, edified and encouraged. Truly you are gifted in the art of writing. May the Lord use you in bringing multitudes to Christ.

I just finished reading your book you sent to me. W O W!!! . . . I'm sure that your honesty in writing this book "in the spirit of Christian love" has been misunderstood and or mischaracterized by those who needed its truth the most.

Thank you for the book that I received this week. I took it to the beauty shop to read while under the dryer. I came home and sat down to finish it. The guilt of sitting and reading was there but then along came the rain and thunderstorm promised for the afternoon. Guilt does play TOO much in our lives even when we know it when it crops up.

Legalism is truly the weapon of satan!!!! . . . People are becoming tired of the tasteless time in worship services. (See expanded comments)

Got your book yesterday and read it thru for the most part. Thanks for the effort/expense of sending it along. Interesting!

You wrote that you are 60. I'm 77 and identify with you in some respects, though married for almost 52 years--and passionately in love (in every way!)

What you wrote about married love struck a responsive chord in this guy. Increasingly, I'm known by the fact that I love my wife, which I'm verbally expressive of.

Meanwhile, I'm passionate about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the freedom that Gospel provides through the powerful ministry of the Holy Spirit. I could write more but my plate is full. (See expanded comments)

I have read already your amazing book.

It really encouraged me to fight the good fight of faith whatever circumstances I find myself in.

I am willing to give your books to the Pastors and Bible teachers here in the Philippines.

Thank you so much and may the Holy Spirit always bless your ministry.

I received your book yesterday. I was so blessed by your real and tremendous experiences [about which you] wrote. This book is one of the greatest books that I have ever read because I learned a lot of lessons on how the Holy Spirit delivers you from great trials in your life. It indeed has wonderful stories that everyone should read. I have shared your book with my wife.

I got the book and it was so thrilling and inspiring to me and to my entire household. I must confess I did an all night read, because I didn't know how to let it go.

Thank you for sending me your spiritual journey and personal testimony book The quest for glory. I ... am a medical doctor [with a] Master of Divinity degree. ...

First of all congratulations [to] you and [the] Holy Spirit. [The book] touches critical points of Christian life--legalism and denying the work of Holy Spirit. One of the reasons that I requested your book was how you handled Christian legalism. You and the Holy Spirit far exceeded my expectation.

Your personal stories and spiritual journey are so real and touching. I will recommend the book to my two daughters (one a Harvard medical school graduate and the other will enroll in Cornell Law school) and to my son-in-law.

It seems to me that God spoke to you directly in the midst of your struggles and that ever since you have changed like the disciples who witnessed the risen Jesus. It seems you indeed broke the bondage of slavery ... have peace within you, with others and with the Lord.

This book is a god send. In some instances, it exactly mirrors where I am at right now. There is so much crap out there in Christian book land that I am very jaded about anything that smacks of Christian themes. Not so with this book. A million thanks!!!!

I can only describe your book with one word . . . .WOW! . . . we both have been on similar spiritual paths apparently. When I read what God said to you about how His Son has already done everything for us it was as though it summed up what He had revealed to me in the past year or two. . . . Keep spreading the message!

Thank you for sending me a copy of your book, "The Quest for Glory." I received it today and was moved to begin reading it immediately (which is very unusual for me). I read it all the way through without stopping. Thank you for sharing your personal story. . . . You have come to a great understanding of our need to simply accept God's genuine love, and stop trying to control or earn that love.

Thank you for taking the time for this book. God bless you.

I read the whole book in one setting and enjoyed it very much. THANK YOU! . . . I especially enjoyed the last chapter. It is very much on track with the same insights the Lord has been teaching me the last few years. (See expanded comments)

Just finished reading The Quest for Glory and would like to order eight copies. My Methodist friends have no idea what it was like growing up in a Reformed Church in the Fifties, and my Reformed friends aren't talking. Although I was an outward conformist, I always knew I was a closet rebel. I, also, have a deep and abiding relationship with the Lord but remember those awful boring Sundays.

Thanks so much for the book. I found it to be excellent and I intend to recommend it to anyone who writes to Last Days Ministries for counsel on problems with legalism (and there are many).

I am very grateful for your gift of the book which I received just a few days ago. Glory to God for your kindness! I have read it and will use it for our Bible studies in our church. Please continue to pray for us as we will continue to pray for you and that your book will have much broader readership.

February 10, 2006
I cannot wait to finish the book. For a non-reader, I'm doing my best. I keep re-reading though as I really am trying to grasp all of the concepts and thoughts to make sure I understand it.

January 27, 2006
Thank you for your email and offer of gift of the book you have recently written. We would be interested in receiving three copies for reference and training with our church family. I will use one for my personal library, one for our senior pastor and one for [another minister] to reference for training materials with our church family.

Thank you for responding to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to address this area for believers to understand and allow God to transform them from inside out.

Thanks for sending the copy of your book. It was a pleasant surprise when it arrived last Wednesday, and I sat down and read it that very night. I thought the book was well-written and thought provoking. I agree with your philosophy about not letting the "rules" of religion keep us from finding God in our lives.

January 2, 2006
Thanks for your book. It is beautiful, well done in every way. Praise the Lord! It is done. And now I pray that many copies will find their way into the hands of a large number of people who will be blessed by it.

I would like to order more copies. One for each of our four children, six more for members of our church staff...given with the idea of reading it, and then giving it to someone, preferably a person who may be searching spiritually.

God's timing always amazes me. Right now I am temporally confined again. I fell and broke my right arm as I was recovering from a very nasty virus called shingles. It is good because I have time now to reflect on my own spiritual journey. Thank you for sharing your spiritual journey with the others.
